For those of you that know Bre, this looks nothing like her… haha, but I am trying to improve. Later on I will redraw her. This is only my second or third attempt at a portrait… so give me a break. :o)

Fruit Seller (Ibu Buah)

This is not an "on site" sketch. I took a picture of a lady selling fruit on the side of the road and decided to start my more detailed drawings with her.

I hope to continue to add more complex drawings as time goes by.

Futsal Arena

This is a Futsal (Indoor Soccer) arena close to our house in Indonesia. Our kids like to go up there with their friends and watch. There's a cafe and restaurant there as well.

Singapore Sketches

I know it has been a long time since I have posted any sketches, so I hope this will pick up again.

Below are some sketches from Singapore.

(Above) Flight to Singapore from Surabaya, Indonesia.

These were done on the MRT (subway) in Singapore. The blue one was sketched in about three minutes (the ride to my destination) and the other was in about five minutes. (the ride from my destination.

We visited Sentosa Island while in Singapore. I forgot I brought my sketch book until I was waiting for my wife and two daughters to change out of their bathing suits. Nothing interesting, but I needed the practice. This was about ten minutes.

This is the cable car to get to Sentosa Island. It was a spectacular view of the city.

This is the gate in Changi Airport Singapore. Thought I would practice some more while waiting for the plane.

Flight home from Singapore.

This is not from Singapore, but I decided to walk the neighborhood when I got back to practice sketching. This is a Khaki Lima selling some Krupuk (a potato chip like snack).

This is the Satpam (security) post right outside of our home in Malang, Indonesia. They are there twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. They were doing their routine rounds at this time.

I am sorry that I have not posted a sketch in a while. Before the move my scanner went on the fritz. We just got it back from the shop. I will post again soon…. with a sketch.

Update

Sorry for no posts in a while, we have moved to another house and all has been in disarray. I have had no time to stop and go walking around to sketch.

As soon as I get a chance I will add some more. There is a large kompung near our new house that will provide some great scenes and people to sketch.

I have some trips coming up soon and I'm sure I will have some nice things to sketch.

Please don't stop coming and looking at my sketches and I thank all of you who take the time to visit.
